The building was known as Harvest House until 2018 when it was named after the late Morgan Tsvangirai.
The six storey building with huge glass windows on the ground floor in the 1950s belonged to the consulate general of Belgium in Rhodesia.

The building is owned by Democratic Investment Holdings whose directors include Ian Makoni and Former Minister Jameson Timba of which Ian was chief adviser to Morgan Tsvangirai when he was Prime Minister.
Jameson Timba a Zimbabwean Politician, Former minister of state and MDC member and MDC alliance member was Nelson Chamisa’s Election Agent.
