The building was known as Harvest House until 2018 when it was named after the late Morgan Tsvangirai.

The six storey building with huge glass windows on the ground floor in the 1950s belonged to the consulate general of Belgium in Rhodesia.

More than 50 MDC vehicles and more than ten offices around Zimbabwe are registered under Laphonic enterprises expect for Harvest House.

The building is owned by Democratic Investment Holdings whose directors include Ian Makoni and Former Minister Jameson Timba of which Ian was chief adviser to Morgan Tsvangirai when he was Prime Minister.
