Tendaiishe Chitima Lead Actress of the multi Award winning Zimbabwean Film, Cook Off, that recently premiered on Netflix credited collaboration and universal theme of the movie to them netting a deal with Netflix.
She said that even though they had some more options for potential buyers and distributors of the film, producers managed to convince Netflix of the value the film.
Tendai said that they collaborated with a real TV show, battle of the chefs that made their film more valuable and that could have made Netflix sign a deal with them.
