Famous backup dancer for Alick Macheso, Franco Slomo lately revealed that he was left by his wife after his financial situation worsened because of the Covid 19 lockdown.
It is alleged that when Franco Slomo decided to leave Alick Macheso and start his own Band, Macheso told him that if he left he would never get on an airplane.
Franco Slomo is reported to have been performing at gigs even in February early this year before the lockdown and it is questionable if he really went broke or there were other problems in his marriage.
It is said that Franco Slomo is mostly concerned about his young son Franco Junior whom he says needs his mother’s love because he is still young.
Franco Slomo was amongst the best backup dancers in Zimbabwe in the Ochestra Mberikwazvo Band for Alick Macheso however decided to leave and begin his own band.
