Constitutional law expert and political analyst, Alex Magaisa says MDC lacks succession management wich has led in the courts intervening within the politics of the party.

Magaisa said MDC leaders have to learn how to manage conflicts, there is no acceptance in the party that a person can have different views and still remain with the party.

Over the past 20 years, MDC has failed to achieve its objective of attaining political power which causes some to grow tired and start having different views on how to move forward as a party.

In 2016, Tsvangirai made a drastic mive to appoint Nelson Chamisa and Ellias Mudzuri as co deputy presidents with Thokozani Khuphe.

Speaking on the recalling of MDC A MPs, Magayisa said, the speaker of parliament Jacob Mudenda had no right to recall the MPs, they should have deferred and let the two MDCs resolve the issue through the courts.

Magaisa said, the sacking of the MPs by MDC T under acting President Thokozani Khuphe was petty and poor poor politics as the party did not hold any meeting to decide on the fate of the four MPs.

Magaisa said, the idea appears to be to attack the head of the MDC Alliance, as part of the recall seems like a continuation of a personal war marked by a streak of vindictiveness.

Magaisa said it is a strategy to divide and rule. Mwonzora’s notice could have applied to all MPs they claim to be their party’s members in Parliament. They have chosen a small group in the hope of isolating them from the larger group.
