In a shocking revelation, MDC Executive member Elias Mudzuri says he was not able to enter the funeral of Morgan Tsvangirai after being prevented by Nelson Chamisa supporters who didn’t want him to execute Morgan Tsvangirai’s last wishes.

Mudzuri says Tsvangirai, on his deathbed, had told him that he should take over as the acting President and unite the party. Tsvangirai had said since he was the eldest, he had this responsibility to make sure the factions in the MDC were destroyed.

Mudzuri said on arrival at the Buhera homestead of Tsvangirai,he was threatedned with violence and was prevented from entering the homestead and was advised to leave for his own safety.

Mudzuri says he  was only able to go back to Buhera and see Tsvangirai’s grave after one year when he went for the memorial service.

Speaking to 263 chat yesterday, Mudzuri said he was the last person to see Morgan Tsvangirai in South Africa and he had the last conversation with him 7 days before his death.

Mudzuri says a lot happened at the Buhera funeral of Tsvangirai which was shameful before Chamisa’s became the MDC President without going to the extraordinary congress.

Mudzuri says the Supreme court ruling should be obeyed because the MDC and Nelson Chamisa were appealed and they should not then defy the court because they lost.

Mudzuri says the constitution of the MDC is the founding document of the party and should be supreme above individuals. Everyone should therefore go to the extraordinary congress and elect the leader as ordered by the court.

On Biti, Ncube and Sikhala, Mudzuri said these three can only be considered for dialogue for another alliance after the internal processes of the MDC are complete.
