The Daily News on Sunday today revealed that Chamisa, Mwonzora, Khuphe and Komichi have entered a secret pact. Only the finer details of the agreement are yet to be finalised.

The article in the Daily News on Sunday was written by Fungai Kwaramba and has been confirmed by Gambakwe Media sources.

MDC-T leaders Mwonzora and Komichi, reportedly approached Chamisa and proposed a unity agreement ahead of the extraordinary congress.

Under this agreement, the MDC will go to congress with a slate that has a pre-determined outcome. Chamisa will be elected as the new undisputed leader with Khuphe as the deputy while Mwonzora and Komichi retain their 2014 positions.

Mwonzowa was approached by the daily news on Sunday and confirmed the development.

However, Charlton Hwende said this is fake news and accused Mwozora of wanting to poach Chamisa.

The biggest losers if this deal goes ahead will be Tendai Biti, Welshman Ncube and Charlton Hwende who will lose their positions.
