MDC Kasim Town councillor for Ward 13,Thembiso Gobo, passed away after succumbing to cervical cancer.

Her family announced the sad news on Wednesday morning.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am now announcing the passing away of my biological mother Councilor Thembiso Gobo of Ward 13 Kadoma Central”.

Gobo (50) was diagnosed with Cervical cancer in 2019.

She is survived by 3 sons and a daughter. She is the mother of Believe Guta the best selling author of a motivational book Hard times never kill.

The late Gobo was born on the 12th of June 1970, she joined the Movement for Democratic Change in 1999 at its inception stage and was part of the formative District Executive.

She is one of the people who were tortured and raped by Zanu Pf in Gokwe and was assaulted several times.

She was employed by Zim Care Trust taking care of the mentally ill at it’s Rubatsiro school in Kadoma.

In the 2018 General Elections, she was elected Councillor for MDC Alliance Ward 13 Kadoma Central.
