MDC-T acting president Thokozani Khupe has welcomed the judgement
handed down by the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe Harare on Tuesday.

It was noted that the letter did not use Harvest House Address, but used the old logo.

This comes after the Supreme Court ruled that Nelson Chamisa is not the legitimate MDC leader.

Khuphe thanked all members who supported her during the struggle for Constitutionalism and Democracy.

She added that everyone in the party, should work for unity and a renewed MDC T, as as they prepare for the extraordinary congress in three months’ time,  in line with the Supreme Court ruling.

Khupe urged all her party members not to fan divisions and avoid the culture or spirit of “us versus them”.

“We must all collectively recognise and respect that we are children of the same family which is the Movement for Democratic Change, bequeathed to us by our late icon and founding President Morgan Tsvangirai”.

Due to the lockdown enforced in the country to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Khuphe will not hold nationwide meetings with all party structures.

“I’ am nonetheless in consultation with members of the Standing Committee and we will be giving you further information and direction on the way forward”.
