Zimbabwean socialite, businesswoman and former Big Brother Africa housemate, Pokello Nare is reportedly being investigated by  Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) over property she allegedly acquired in Dubai.

The entrepreneur who owns an upmarket boutique at Sam Levy’s Village and keeps her cards close to her chest is alleged to have spent huge amount of funds out of the country.

The anti-graft body is currently targeting vast amount of property and wealth that was stacked outside the country and Pokello is one the people being speculated at the moment.

Speaking to Zimmpost mornings, an insider to Zacc said Pokello Is being investigated for the property she bought in Dubai.

“Yes, Pokello is on the list for a property she bought in Dubai. We have since instituted investigations, and we want to make sure we do not commit an error at law, hence we are being thorough”, said the source.

The ‘Shoeprenuer’  started Pokello Pink Bottoms with a modest capital base of only 3000 USD with which she procured thirty pairs of high-end shoes. Because the shoes were upscale, when they sold out, her profit margin was high lead to the growth of the business

late last year Pokello purchased a Range Rover Luxury SUV, 2019 edition, which is estimated to cost over US$ 100 000.

This comes a week after ZACC chairperson Justice Loice Matanda Moyo told state media that they discovered US$7 billion in cash and properties stashed outside the country by former and current senior Government officials and captains of industry.

“Informally, we have now identified over US$7 billion worth of property and cash all over the world which was siphoned by our former leaders, current leaders, private sector and individuals. So this information we only got informally; so now we have to formalise the process so that we start the processes of repatriating the monies back to Zimbabwe”, said Matanda
