Yesterday, Thabo Mbeki paid a special visit to Zimbabwe.
On arrival, he met with ED Mnangagwa and then met with Nelson Chamisa hours later and was reported to be in a three hour long meeting.
Most people assumed that he was the neutral dialogue convener which Nelson Chamisa was calling for.
Speaking the state broadcaster journalists, Thabo Mbeki called for the region to support ED Mnangagwa in all the efforts he was putting in place.
