Gambakwe Media sources have revealed that Top Zimbabwe Military Generals are worried about increasing lawlessness and indiscipline among junior soldiers.

Low ranking soldiers are openly struggling due to low salaries and the high cost of living in Zimbabwe.

This has resulted in soldiers resorting to criminal and illegal activities such as armed robbery, gold panning and hawking.

Some soldiers have reportedly became part of the Mashurugwi gangs that are terrorising each other, when off duty or during their annual leave.

Theft of food rations has also increased as soldiers try to fend for their families.

Other recent key events that have taken place in the Zimbabwe Military include :

A Young Soldier fired into the air at state house and was arrested.

A Senior Military Officer ‘s Driver Reportedly fled into Mozambique with his Army vehicle.

ZDF Commander Valerio Sibanda reportedly left the army residences citing increase in indiscipline and disobedience of orders. He also cited increasing talk of a Coup.

Lieutenant General Edzai Chimonyo reportedly called an emergency staff meeting where he warned 500 soldiers with the rank of Corporal and above against indiscipline.

Reports of indiscipline in the Zimbabwe Military come as many Zimbabweans expect General Chiwenga to stage a Coup backed by China after his return in late November.
