Government’s efforts to end HIV virus as a public health challenge by 2030 are under threat as the Anti retro viral drug shortages takes its toll.

Following the crisis in the nation’s health sector which worsened after government fired more than 500 doctors, reports states that government has falsified reports claiming that hospitals have been equipped with enough drugs.

Citizens living with the virus protested against the shortages of the drug in Masvingo where Obadiah Moyo was to address them in commemoration of the World AIDS day

HIV activists are adamant that there is a shortage of the drug and immediate action is required.

However, government has rejected reports of the ARV drug shortages stating that they are inaccurate.
