The President’s spokesman George Charamba has revealed that ED Mnangagwa and Auxillia Mnangagwa is in Bulawayo at the National Gallery where they are set to interact with artists.
Historically, Bulawayo has been the Arts Capital of Zimbabwe.
The First Lady ran ahead of His Excellency the President and had a full day with artists nationwide who raised their concerns.
It was on the basis of that meeting that interaction was escalated to involve the President.
Issues under discussion relate to intellectual property, piracy, royalties, infrastructure for the Arts, tax holidays for importation of equipment, training and statistical records of artistic output, both from point of view of attendances, costs and revenues, demise of Zimbabwe Literature Bureau.
