Fadzayi Mahere has started a gofundme page to assist four girls from Mudavanhu Primary School who won the National Chess Championships and are set for the Africa Youth Championships which requires US$5000 to cover their expenses.
On her twitter handle, Mahere urged willing parties to assist the young orphans.
“4 girls from a rural school in Chivhu beat all other schools in the country to win the National Chess Championships, 3 of them being orphans and 1 heads her family.
They are scheduled to represent Zimbabwe at the Africa Youth Championships in Namibia and they need US$5 000 to enable them to attend the continental showcase,”said Mahere.
The names of the young girls are Natasha Choko, Ruramai Tapambwa, Grace Zvarehwa and Lynne Chidanire.
Mahere provided the bank and gofundme details which are being used to raise the funds for the four girls.
