In 2018, popular Harare lawyer Advocate Fadzayi Mahere represented Golix, Zimbabwe ‘s Biggest Bitcoin exchange.

Fast forward to 2019, the Golix CEO Tawanda Kembo is in the news after reportedly losing client and investors funds.

He also kind of disappeared and only re-appeared after clients and investors started running to the press with the story.

However, his response in a lengthy post in iHarare.com still left people confused. He did not answer if he lost his password to all the money or not, if investors will be paid or not and he also did not shed light on how much money was raised during the initial coin offering.

The Golix case will certainly make investors in Zimbabwe look at Bitcoin in a different and negative light!
