Prof Jonathan Moyo has revealed that the appreciation dinner hosted by the First Lady for partners who worked with her philanthropic arm was a disguise for a ritual.

Mr Moyo questioned why the non-state event was held at the State houseĀ  which is usually known for holding state functions and hosting prominent international guests and events.

Jonathan Moyo also highlighted the essence of maheu and mazondo at the purported celebratory event which is something that is very unusual. In the African tradition maheu and mazondo are said to be the emblem of powerĀ  and authority held by African Chiefs and Kings.

The event in question was a key note address by the first lady Amai Auxillia Mnangwagwa to her companions whom she works with at the Angel Of Hope Foundation.

ED Mnangwagwa commended his wife for the philanthropic works she has done for the general populace of Zimbabwe since his ascendancy to the highest office on the land.

The Angel of Hope Foundation has helped to cater for many lives in Zimbabwe and even in the neighboring African States, ensuring a better future for the nation.
