It has emerged that Sotic International company linked to oil mogul Kudakwashe Tagwireyi has won the Bindura Nickel Corporation (BNC) deal after emerging as the leading bidder.
BNC is the country’s largest nickel producer.
A close source has revealed that ASA UK Plc has concluded the sale of its controlling interest in BNC.
Confirmed reports show that Sotic International has been negotiating with ASA administrators to take over of the nickel producer property in the past months.
In an article published by Business Times, Sotic International was among several suitors, both local and international that had expressed interest in ASA assets.
There has been growing criticism and call for transparency over the association of Kuda Tagwirei with ED Mnangagwa. Many stakeholders believe that Kuda Tagwirei is part of a cartel which uses their association with top politicians to exercise monopoly and unethical practises in the market.
