The controversial documentary ExcelGate which made noise on the internet yesterday due to its revelation of how President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Chairperson Priscilla Chigumba allegedly stole the 2018 presidential election has been withdrawn from the internet.

ExcelGate is a brainchild of Professor Jonathan Moyo which was produced by Edmund Kudzayi.

The documentary made a number of revelations including that the 10, 985 original V11s that Chigumba claimed she was verifying at the National Command did not exists.

On his twitter handle Edmund Kudzayi said “I have withdrawn the #Excelgate documentary from Youtube due to a significant error in the V11 sequence.

I will be publishing another documentary on the election in a few weeks and i will use the opportunity to correct the error,” he said.

Prior to the release of Excelgate, Edmund said ” You thought you were clever but the truth is coming out today.

Forget about the sanctions march, you both have a criminal case to answer,” said Edmund in what seemed like a threat to the President and Chigumba.

However, the sudden withdrawal of the document has fueled an uproar due to unconfirmed suspicions that he has been coerced to remove it from public domains.
