ED Mnangagwa’s war on corruption is a sham: Fadzai Mahere

Fadzai Mahere has labeled Mnangagwa’s fight against corruption as nothing but a sham.

She was referencing to the issue of Prisca Mupfumira who has been charged on allegations of abuse of office in the NSSA scandal.

Fadzai argues that if Mnangagwa was sincere, Prisca would have been tried already. The fact that she hasn’t been tried means that ED Mnangagwa is not serious in his fight against corruption.

Fadzai reduced Mnangagwa’s arrests on corruption as nothing but a dramatic device to punish political opponents and settling personal scores.

She cites that there is zero political will on Mnangagwa to arrest the corrupt.

Recently, the Zanu Pf Youth League being led by Lewis Matutu engaged in a name and shame operation of diclosing corrupt Zanu Pf bigwigs among whom Obert Mpofu was mentioned.

However, there was no serious steps taken by the government to investigate these named people.
