Over the years , celebrities have done stupid things to gain momentum and to be in press for wrong reason. Some artists usually resort to this method to sell records or for more fame.
Mathias Mhere once did this during his rise to fame but it almost costed him career.The publicity stunt was too much for a person who preaches the gospel of Jesus through music.
In February 2015 , he went viral in various tabloids for his wife’s allegedly cheating. Susan Dzinamarira , his wife’s chats with his friend Gift Mahlupiko were leaked to the public.
This happened days before his album launch.This made it easy for marketing his album. He even appeared at the launch with his wife.
This did not go well with fans who thought he leaked the fake chats as a publicity stunt to market his gospel studio album. He lost fans along the way and respect from the saga. He also gained some because people were now feeling sorry for him.
This controversial saga still makes people see his wife as someone who has no morals.Mhere has never really said anything concerning the issue.
