President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Professor Paul Gundani to be the new Vice Chancellor for the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) with immediate effect.
ZOU has been transforming into a premier Open and Distance learning(Odel) under the leadership of Prof Francis Mugabe and Prof Gundani’s 16 years expertise in a similar environment bacame and added advantage.
Prof Gundani joins ZOU from UNISA, a citadel of Open and Distance electronic learning(Odel). He is a full Prof of History of Christianity in Africa with more than 30 years of university experience, 16 of which were with UNISA.
ZOU Chairperson of Council Mrs Chipo Mtasa and members of the council said they are honoured by the appointed of this prolific and renowned Odel expert, researcher and administrator to lead the institution.
