From the onset of existence finding love has always had its dynamics, worse of ‘true love’. Previous generations could find love through socially approved misogynistic practices whereas, finding love to date is being driven by various personal motives.
In a fast paced technologically advancing society, this aspect has become even more interesting. These are currently the trending ways of finding ‘true’ love in Zimbabwe.
1: Sangomas
What you see on the surface isnt always all there is. As much as many may denounce the practice, families are existing from this it. One of such is Sikhanyiso Ngwenya’s, who painted her testimony of how she found her husband after receiving blessings from a sangoma. A love story which she and her husband lived to enjoying.
Needless to say, many have also received such “blessings”, never had the opportunity to enjoy them as it turned sour before yielding an kind of fruit. So i would say, if you would try this method just be all eyes open (physically and spiritually) as you might end up marrying the devil himself.
2: Christian Tetes
Whilst these are mainly found on social media platforms particularly Facebook, i cant blame you if you think its a hoax but quite a number of testimonies have popped up in virtual women communities like “Zimbabwe’s Only”. One of such is Charity Marumahoko who claims to be happily married after having been assisted by ‘Tete’ when all her hope was lost.

Famous amongst the current generations who spent most of their lifetime online than they actually do in real life. You just post a few of your nice pictures and a few personal details the you are good to go. Its ‘true love’ by just a click of the button, whether its easy as it sounds, i leave that to you to decide.
4: Praying
Whilst some may place their trust on worldly things, some are literally choosing to pray and wait on God’s time. As lame as it may sound to many, testimonies are plenty that prove that it actually works.
5: Random meetings
This is quite adventurous to many as one can find ‘true love’ without having planned for it or anything. It is unpredictable and that is its uttermost beauty. Some met in Zupco buses, church meetings, clubs, street fights to mention but a few.
