Nelson Chamisa has questioned police chiefs over deployment of the uniformed forced to disperse non violent party supporters on the 16th of August 2019
Party Secretary Charlton Hwende has confirmed the development saying the party has written a letter to the police wanting to know why the demonstrations were blocked.
We wrote a letter to the police commissioner General Godwin Matanga ,to express our displeasure on the treatment meted out to demonstrators on the 16th of August. Some of the police officers who were bashing people were clearly not police officers . The police must give is the names of the police officers who were on duty that day. On our letter we also want to find out why members of the police are abducting people and if they are not police why are the people behind the abductions not being arrested.
