The MDC mayor for Chegutu Mr Henry Muchabayiwa has been recalled and expelled from the party.
Party secretary-general Chalton Hwende on August 20, 2019, wrote to Local Government Minister July Moyo and advised him to remove Muchatibaya from the council.
Muchabaya fiercely condemned the MDC demonstrations saying they where motivated by power hunger.
